Ciara Campbell is a Belfast-born, Dublin-based writer of novels and short stories. She enjoys exploring difficult characters and alternate societies. Her work has been published in New Word Order, Sparks, the Martello Journal, New Isles Press, Stoney Collection and Writers' Cafe, showcasing her distinctive voice and imaginative storytelling. She is a winner of the 2020 PentoPrint short story competition, winner of the “Reader’s Choice” award for the Dark Corner (Volume V) and a recipient of bursaries from the Irish Writers Centre.

Publications

  • My short story was published in Issue XI of New Word Order.

  • My first published poem, in Sparks Literary Journal “Samhain 2”.

  • I won the “Reader’s Choice" award for this piece, published in the horror magazine “The Dark Corner”.

  • These two short pieces are available in “Stoney Collection Volume 2”.

  • Published in the “Ragin” edition of the Martello Journal.

  • This short story is available here, in New Isles Press Issue 4.

  • In the “Stoney Collection”, an anthology of poetry and prose from 21 Dublin-based writers. I had the pleasure of being an editor and writer, and my own short story “Overwintering” is included. The anthology is available here.

  • I won Third Place in the PentoPrint Short Story Competition 2020 with my short story Power.
